Quartz sand is a natural raw material that impresses especially with its incomparable haptics and look. This creates a predominantly positive association, which triggers a sense of well-being and at the same time has an attractive appeal.

According to the company ́s claim „Changing perceptions“, SANDHELDEN manages to change the general perception of sand as a loose material by shaping it into long-lasting and robust objects.

SANDHELDEN primarly uses quartz sand in its manufacturing process, which is edgy and heterogeneous in shape. As a result, the individual grains of sand interlock better, thus increasing the stability of the 3D-printed objects.

Depending on the 3D printer, between 1.700 and 11.200 kg of sand can be processed for each printing process. Excess material is directly recycled in production and reused in subsequent 3D printing processes.
